The CIA operatives who confessed to their part in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. 60 years after JFK’s murder, President Joe Biden, seeking re-election, refuses to release crucial CIA files.

By David Burke.

John F. Kennedy was assassinated in broad daylight by a team of shooters in Dealey Plaza, Texas, nearly 60 years ago.

President Joe Biden was meant to release a collection of classified CIA files connected to the JFK murder last year but opted instead to suppress them.

If, as expected, Joe Biden runs for the White House in 2024, and wins, the files will remain under wraps until at least 2028.

By law, they should have been released in 2017, except by order of the President.

Donald Trump did not release the files during his four years at the Oval Office.

The right-wing broadcaster, Tucker Carlson, formerly of Fox News, spoke to someone who knows what is in them. Carlson told his audience in December 2022 that:

The only candidate seeking the presidency in 2024 who will release the files, if elected, is JFK’s nephew, Robert Kennedy. Kennedy was seeking the Democratic Party’s nomination for the election but is now running as an independent.

Robert and Cheryl Kennedy.

There was a time when E. Howard Hunt would make the news simply by showing his face in public. Hunt ran the ‘Plumbers’, the dirty tricks unit that broke into the Watergate building in 1972, and sparked the Watergate scandal. Offices in the building were occupied by the Democratic Party. The ‘Plumbers’ were seeking political information for Richard Nixon, a Republican, who was president at the time.

E. Howard Hunt.

The Plumbers were Nixon’s private intelligence and dirty tricks group. Nixon gave Hunt the job as leader of the unit because of his CIA background. When Nixon was vice-president, he oversaw the preparations for what became the Bay of Pigs fiasco, when a US-backed paramilitary force invaded Cuba. Hunt was centrally involved in that and other CIA dirty trick operations, as was Nixon. Had it not been for Watergate, Hunt would probably have become Director of the CIA later in the 1970s.

Hunt knew where all of the CIA’s dirty linen was hidden because he had soiled most of it himself. In 2004, he made a series of tape recordings with his son wherein he outlined how the CIA had assassinated JFK in 1963.

Hunt in Dealey Plaza after JFK was shot.

The JFK assassination may appear complex on the surface but that is only because so many lies have been woven around it. If one proceeds on the assumption that E. Howard Hunt was telling the truth, the story is remarkably simple: the CIA did it in partnership with Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson. Edgar J. Hoover of the FBI was a willing participant in the cover-up that took place after the killing. Lee Harvey Oswald was exactly what he had claimed he was, a ‘patsy’, not the lone gunman who shot JFK. The fatal shot was pulled by a ‘French gunman’ on the grassy knoll.

David Ferrie (second on the left). Lee Harvey Oswald (extreme right).

According to the Warren Commission, Lee Harvey Oswald was meant to have shot JFK from the Dallas School Book Depository on 22nd November 1963. The findings of the Warren Commission were set aside by the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) in 1979. The HSCA was set up by the US Congress. It determined that JFK had been shot as a result of a conspiracy. The HSCA did not identify the conspirators.

G. Robert Blakey.

The Chairman of the HSCA was G. Robert Blakey. He has since accused the CIA of having lied to his committee, something the rest of Washington realised at the time. History will not be kind to Blakely. He let JFK’s killers slip through his fingers when there was a real chance of bringing them to justice.

Since 1979, two senior ex-CIA officers have confessed that they were part of the conspiracy.

3. LEE HARVEY OSWALD WAS A ‘PATSY‘.

After Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested in Dallas in the wake of JFK’s murder, he told the media he was an innocent ‘patsy’ or fall guy.

In the 60 years since JFK was shot, it has become increasingly clear that Oswald was a pawn in a sinister game. He was a CIA asset who was manipulated and betrayed by his masters. He was not involved in the murder.

Lee Harvey Oswald.

As a young boy, Oswald fantasised about becoming a spy. His favourite show on TV was ‘I Led 3 Lives’, about an American agent who went undercover to infiltrate Communist groups and report back to his FBI superiors about their plans to undermine the USA. Unlike most children with such fantasies, Oswald grew up to become a spy.

David Ferrie.

Oswald’s first brush with the intelligence community took place during his membership of the Civil Air Patrol which he joined as a cadet in 1955. While a cadet, he met David Ferrie, a pilot who flew missions for the CIA in the Caribbean and elsewhere. Ferrie was also mixed up with the mafia and the anti-Castro Cuban community. Later, he played a part in the JFK assassination.

4. OSWALD’S MOTHER BELIEVED HER SON WAS A SPY.

Oswald became a US Marine and served as a radar operator at Atsugi Naval Air Base, in Japan. The CIA flew U2 spy planes from Atsugi over the Soviet Union. In 1959 Oswald defected to the USSR. Oswald’s mother, Marguerite, revealed that she received letters from the State Department, and also from Lee while he was in Russia, both of which indicated that he was an agent of the US Government.

Oswald’s mother Marguerite and his widow, Marina, seen in this picture with one of the couple’s daughters.

5.  OSWALD WAS ON THE CIA PAYROLL.

James B. Wilcott, a former finance officer for the CIA, at its Tokyo station, appeared before the HSCA in the late 1970’s. He had been employed by the CIA, from 1957 to 1966. He told the HSCA that he learned from his colleagues in Tokyo that Oswald had been a secret operative for the CIA while serving as a marine at Atsugi.

The revelation was made to him after JFK was shot. The Tokyo station went on alert. Wilcott was assigned to a twenty four hour security duty. He passed the time with agents who became quite drunk. They told him Oswald had worked for the CIA. His reaction was thus:

Wilcott provided the HSCA with the names of other officials who had knowledge of Oswald’s employment with the agency.

6. OSWALD AND THE SECRET CIA AIRBASE IN JAPAN.

The troopship that brought Oswald to Japan docked on 12th September, 1957. He was then assigned to the Marine Air Control Squadron No. 1 (MACS-1) at Atsugi. The airbase was located about 35 miles southwest of Tokyo.

Oswald worked as a radar operator in MACS-1.

A U2 spy plane. Some of them were based at Atsugi.

During his off-duty hours, he began to frequent Japanese nightclubs where he began a relationship with a Japanese girl. Communists were known to visit these establishments.

Oswald was playing a part, that of a disgruntled left-wing youth who might be willing to disclose secrets to his communist friends. Soon, he was providing them with plenty of reasons to believe he was deeply unhappy at the CIA spy base.

On 27th October, 1957, Oswald allegedly pulled some gear out of his locker whereupon a loaded .22 calibre Derringer pistol fell out. The weapon discharged when it hit the floor and Oswald was allegedly wounded in his left elbow. He was court-martialled on 11th April, 1958, for possession of an unregistered personal weapon. He was sentenced to 20 days hard labour and fined $50 and demoted to Private from Private First Class. The sentence of 20 days hard labour was suspended for six months. In addition, Oswald was reassigned to serve as a mess cook. The fact the sentence was suspended, enabled Oswald walk free to complain about his plight to all and sundry.

Shortly after this, Oswald confronted the NCO who had assigned him to the kitchen and challenged him to a fight. Instead, the sergeant filed a complaint and Oswald was tossed into the brig, or so we have been told.

Oswald faced a second court-martial on 27th June, 1958. He was convicted of insubordination and sentenced to 28 days confinement and hard labour. His prior suspended sentence of 20 days hard labour was also activated. If E. Howard Hunt and others were telling the truth, and Oswald was a CIA asset, he was probably taken to a CIA facility to prepare for a false defection to the USSR, not the brig.

While allegedly in the brig, Oswald was meant to have got into a fight with a guard. Yet, he was released three days early, having served forty-five days of his sentence.

Oswald returned to duty and spent as much time as possible in Tokyo. There, he met another Japanese girl with whom he became friendly.

On 14th September, 1958, Oswald’s unit was shipped to Northern Taiwan. On 16th September, Oswald visited the sick bay and was diagnosed as having gonorrhoea.

One night, while on guard duty in Taiwan, Oswald fired several shots at something he claimed he had seen moving in the distance. The officer who investigated found Oswald slumped against a tree, shaking and crying, or so we are told. Oswald claimed that he had seen men in the nearby woods, had challenged them, and fired when they did not respond. The officer later suggested that it was all an act in order to get shipped back to the more pleasant environment of Japan. It was undoubtedly a ruse but one that bears the hallmark of the CIA. It got Oswald back to Japan.

Back at Atsugi Naval Air base, Oswald sent to the hospital and was treated for his gonorrhoea, from 7th October to the 13th. He was not court-martialled for this as it was deemed he had contracted the infection during the course of duty. This establishes that his trips to the night clubs in Tokyo were part of his CIA mission, one designed to bring him to the attention of communists who would remember him when he defected to the USSR a year later. In spy parlance, he was creating his ‘legend’.

On 2 November, 1958, Oswald was put aboard ship and sent back to the United States. His first overseas tour of duty was over but it would not be his last. A year later, he would embark on a second, more clandestine one.

7. OSWALD ‘DEFECTS’ TO THE USSR.

Oswald was granted compassionate leave, something that was very difficult to obtain under normal circumstances, in October 1959. Further, he did so on false pretences, namely that his mother was ill. All of this was organised by his CIA handlers.

He made his way to Helsinki, Finland, and from there to Moscow on 16th October.

The CIA knew that the KGB had bugged the US embassy in Moscow. When Oswald made it to the city, he surrendered his passport to Richard Snyder, a senior consular official at the embassy. Oswald told his audience – in particular the Russians who were monitoring the listening devices – that he was going to defect to the Soviets and tell them the secrets he had learned while serving as a marine. Rather than detain him, he was allowed walk out of the building and defect.

A cable from Snyder on 31st October, 1959, informed the CIA that Oswald had threatened to reveal his secrets to the Soviets.

In a 1978 interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, James Wilcott revealed that it ‘was common knowledge in the Tokyo CIA station that Oswald worked for the agency’.

‘That’s true,’ Elsie Wilcott, his wife, confirmed. She had also worked at the CIA’s Tokoyo station. ‘Right after the President was killed, people in the Tokoyo station were talking openly about Oswald having gone to Russia for the CIA. Everyone was wondering how the agency was going to be able to keep the lid on Oswald. But I guess they did.’

In an article based on what he learned at the Tokyo Station, James Wilcott wrote that Oswald had been ‘trained [by the CIA] at Atsugi Naval Air Station, a plush super secret cover base for Tokyo Station special operations…Oswald was recruited from the military for the express purpose of becoming a double agent [on] assignment to the USSR … More than once, I was told something like “so-and-so was working on the Oswald project back in the late ’50s”.’

8. OSWALD’S 201 FILE.

According to the CIA’s Clandestine Services Handbook, a 201 file was opened on ‘subjects’ of interest to ‘CI (counterintelligence) investigation, prospective agents and sources, and members of groups and organizations of continuing interest.’

Richard Helms on his appointment by President Lyndon Johnson as CIA director in 1966.

When interviewed by the HSCA in the late 1970’s, Richard Helms, Director of the CIA, from 1966 to 1973, admitted that the agency opened a 201 file on anyone who defected to Russia. At the request of the HSCA, the CIA carried out a search for Oswald’s 201 file.

When produced, it transpired that Oswald’s 201 file was created in December 1960 by Ann Egerter. She worked for the Special Investigations Group (SIG) in CIA Counterintelligence (CI). She answered to a man called James Jesus Angleton, a towering figure in the CIA. Egerter controlled the 201 file for the next three years. When the HSCA asked her to talk to it, she refused. It was only when Dan Hardaway of the HSCA threatened to subpoena her, that she relented. The verbatim record of her testimony was classified at the time.

Marina and Lee Oswald in Russia. Oswald married her six weeks after he met her.

Oswald purportedly ‘defected’ to Russia in October 1959. A file should have been opened immediately. Yet, a 201 file was not opened until 9th December, 1960.

Egerter was unable to provide an explanation but dropped a hint that Oswald was a CIA asset. Her HSCA interrogator said to her: ‘I hope you understand my questions are directed toward trying to find out what the purpose of the CI/SIG Office was and under what circumstances was the opening up of the 201 file [on Oswald]. I am given the impression that the purpose of CI/SIG was very limited, primarily to investigate Agency employees who for one reason or another might be under suspicion of espionage against the United States. Is that an accurate statement of the purpose of CI/SIG?’

Egerter replied: ‘Well, it is employees and also penetration, which is the same thing, of the Agency.’

These comments indicate that Egerter knew Oswald was a CIA ’employee’. If he was not, she could have made it clear he was not.

Richard Helms was also unable to explain why there had been a delay in opening Oswald’s 201 file. He told the HSCA: ‘I can’t imagine why it would have taken an entire year. I am amazed.’

Richard Helms.

When Egerter opened the 201 file, she recorded that Oswald had ‘defected to the USSR’ and had been a ‘radar operator’ but did not bother to mention that he had threatened to pass CIA U2 spy plane secrets to the Soviets.

It was also revealed that documents that should have been in the 201 file were missing. Helms claimed that ‘none of these documents were classified higher than confidential’ and that ‘because document dissemination records of a relatively low national security interest are retained for only a 5-year period, they were no longer in existence for the years 1959 to 1963. Yet the records of Oswald – an alleged Soviet defector  and the man who was meant to have shot JFK in 1963 – could hardly have been classified as being of a ‘relatively low national security interest’.

9. A TRAP FOR A MOLE: JAMES JESUS ANGLETON OF THE CIA WANTED TO SEE WHO WOULD ASK FOR OSWALD’S FILE.

James Jesus Angleton of the CIA’s Counter-intelligence department was convinced the KGB had a mole inside the agency. Angleton was behind Oswald’s fake defection. He hoped the mole would be asked by Moscow to find out if Oswald was a real defector. Angleton hoped the mole would go hunting for the CIA’s file on Oswald at Langley, Virginia, and thereby reveal himself. As there was no 201 file for the first year after the defection, a mole would have had to knock on many doors to see what he might find. The elaborate ruse, however, did not flush out a KGB mole.

James Jesus Angleton.

There was a second level of intrigue involved in Oswald’s false defection. The CIA knew that the Soviets were aware of the U2 project. They had been monitering U2 flights since at least 1958. Oswald, who was neither a pilot, technician nor an engineer, did not have a technical knowledge of the U2 craft to divulge anything significant to them. However, the CIA would be able to learn what the Soviets did not know about the abilities of the U2 craft by questions they might put to Oswald. If they had no questions, it would indicate that they had a spy, or group of spies, who had told them all they needed to know.

The Soviets shot down a U2 plane in 1960 flown by Gary Powers.

Oswald was allowed to return home in June 1962. If the CIA is to be believed – which it is not – he was not approached by anyone in authority to ask what he had done while in the USSR. If he was a genuine defector, would they not have asked him, at the very least, if the Soviets had quizzed him about the U2 flights?

The U2 plane flown by Gary Powers after it was shot down by the Soviets.

The CIA, of course, has been lying about this for decades. In reality, he would have been debriefed extensively by them. To this day, the CIA cannot disclose his debrief files as they would reveal his role as a CIA agent.

Angleton was involved in many of the CIA’s most reprehensible operations, including the murder of JFK. Revelations by another of his aides, Jane Roman, (outlined later in this article) indicate he was a key player in JFK’s murder.

Angleton came to regret what he had done during his career, especially as he approached his death in 1987. David Talbot described Angleton’s last days in his book, ‘The Devil’s Chessboard’ thus:

James Jesus Angleton.

10. MARINA OSWALD.

Oswald returned home with a Russian wife, Marina. She is still alive. She too believes he was a CIA agent. During their marriage she was aware of his spy ‘games’.

Lee and Marina Oswald.

11. OSWALD RETURNS TO AMERICA

Oswald maintained his cover as a communist after his return to the US and settled in Dallas. Although he professed to still be a communist, he introduced his wife into anti-Communist ‘white’ Russians circles after they reached the US. One of these was George Sergius de Mohrenschildt, a CIA asset. He allegedly committed suicide shortly before he was to testify before the HSCA.

George Sergius de Mohrenschildt

12. OSWALD GETS A JOB WITH A MILITARY CONTRACTOR.

While living in Dallas, Oswald obtained a job working at Jaggars-Chiles-Stoval (JCS). JCS was a military contractor.

Oswald commenced working at Jaggars on 11th October 1962 and was there during the Cuban Missile Crisis later that month, 16th to 28th October.

Oswald’s job involved him having access to classified maps.

Oswald could hardly have secured this job with a CV that showed he had defected to the USSR, unless he had some sort of clearance from the US government. He was dismissed by JSC on 1st April, 1963, and left on the 6th.

He soon moved to New Orleans.

13. OSWALD WORKED WITH GUY BANNISTER, A CIA ASSET, IN NEW ORLEANS.

While in New Orleans, Oswald continued to pose as a communist, in particular a supporter of the communist leader of Cuba, Fidel Castro.

Guy Bannister

Oswald set up a pro-Castro chapter of the Fair Play for Cuba organisation. As part of this ruse, he distributed pro-Castro leaflets and appeared on radio.

Oswald worked out of Bannister’s office and once mistakenly stamped Bannister’s address on a leaflet he was distributing, ‘544 Camp St. New Orleans, LA’.

Oswald took his instructions from Guy Bannister, a senior FBI officer who was now working for the CIA. It was at this time that Oswald was seen in the company of David Ferrie, his former Civil Air Patrol leader.

David Ferrie.

The CIA stage managed a minor scuffle on the streets of New Orleans between Oswald and anti-Castro Cubans to raise his profile as a communist agitator.

13A. RUTH PAINE GETS OSWALD A JOB AT THE BUILDING OVERLOOKING THE DEALEY PLAZA KILL ZONE

Ruth Paine

Oswald returned to Dallas at the start of October. A lady called Ruth Paine, who had become a friend of the family, suggested to Oswald that he apply for the post. He was successful and, on 16th October, 1963, commenced working at the Dallas School Book Depository.

Ruth Paine

Ruth Paine is still alive.

14. JFK IS ELECTED AND REFUSES TO INVADE CUBA.

Meanwhile, JFK had been elected as president of the US. He and the CIA did not see eye to eye from the start of his administration. Kennedy inherited a CIA plan to invade Cuba by anti-Castro forces. The invasion was set up and organised by the CIA with E. Howard Hunt to the forefront of the operation. Kennedy refused to send air support to aid the anti-Castro paramilitaries after they began their invasion at the Bay of Pigs. It descended into an ignominious failure. After it, Kennedy dismissed the Director of the CIA, Allan Dulles, and his deputy, Charles Cabell. He told his confidants that after the 1964 elections he was going to smash the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the wind.

Anti-Castro soldiers captured at the Bay of Pigs.

He also rejected CIA and Pentagon dirty trick operations such as Operation Northwoods which planned to shoot down an airline and blame it on Castro as a pretext for an invasion of Cuba.

15. CORD MEYER OF THE CIA, MASTERMIND OF THE PLOT TO KILL JFK.

One of JFK’s mistresses, Mary Meyer, was the wife of a senior CIA officer called Cord Meyer. According to E. Howard Hunt, Cord Meyer was the driving force behind the plot that now developed to murder Kennedy.

Mary and Cord Meyer while happily married (left); Mary Mayer on the extreme right while mistress of JFK who is seen standing next to her.

The plot was egged on by Allen Dulles who was still fuming at his dismissal as CIA Director.

A number of cities were chosen for the assassination, including Chicago and Miami, as well as Dallas. Charles Cabell, who had been dismissed as Deputy Director of the CIA, was the brother of the Mayor of Dallas and in control of the local police force.

Lyndon Johnson.

Vice President Lyndon Johnson, a deeply corrupt and immoral man, desperately wanted to become president but instead faced political disgrace due to corruption scandals that threatened to erupt at any time. JFK did not want him on his re-election ticket.

Johnson and Meyer got together to plot the murder of JFK whereafter Johnson would become president. He would then have all the necessary power to cover-up his crimes.

Mary and Cord Meyer.

The assassination plot the CIA eventually settled upon involved shooting JFK in  broad daylight while placing the blame for it on the shoulders of Oswald, a man they could portray as a communist agent. Had the shooting gone ahead in Chicago or Miami, a different ‘patsy’ would have been framed.

16. J. EDGAR HOOVER.

The Director of the FBI joined the plot. He was a close friend of Lyndon Johnson. The pair lived across the road from each other.

Hoover and his lover, Clyde Tolson.

Hoover hated JFK’s brother Robert Kennedy, who was attorney-general, with a passion.

Hoover was a homosexual and was under the control of James Angleton of the CIA who could have destroyed him if he interfered with their plans. It is believed Angleton had incriminating pictures of Hoover.

Hoover, however, undoubtedly went along with the plot voluntarily, as he detested the Kennedy family.

17. OSWALD AND DAVID ATLEE PHILIPS.

David Atlee Philips of the CIA was a master of black propaganda and dirty tricks. He rose to become Chief of the CIA’s Western Hemisphere Division.

Anotonio Veciana of Alpha 66, an anti-Castro paramilitary organisation financed by the CIA, worked with Philips.

Alpha 66 was involved in two assassination attempts on Castro.

E. Howard Hunt revealed that Veciana and Philips were involved in the assassination of JFK.

Veciana had been hinting about his knowledge of CIA involvement for decades. In 1976, Veciana told the HSCA that at one meeting with Phillips in Dallas in  late-August or September 1963, he arrived and saw Philips (whom he knew as ‘Bishop’) talking to Oswald.

In 2013, Veciana opened up a little bit more. He gave interviews saying that he believed that the assassination of JFK was perpetrated by senior US military and intelligence officials.

Anotonio Veciana of Alpha 66.

Hunt’s relationship with David Philips began during a CIA regime change plot in Guatemala in 1954. They also worked together during the Bay of Pigs operation in 1961.

David Philips had a brother called James. James suspected that David had been involved in the JFK murder. Larry Hancock, author of ‘Someone Would Have Talked’, described how, ‘As David was dying of lung cancer, he called his brother.  Even at this point there was apparently no reconciliation between the two men.  James asked David pointedly, “Were you in Dallas that day?” David answered “Yes” and James hung up the phone on him.’

David Philips and Allen Dulles.

David Philips told Kevin Walsh, a former investigator with the HSCA: ‘My final take on the assassination is there was a conspiracy, likely including American intelligence officers.’

18. OSWALD KNEW JACK RUBY, A MEMBER OF THE MAFIA FROM CHICAGO, WHO WAS WORKING WITH THE CIA.

Jack Ruby was a night club owner and drug and gun runner. He came from Chicago. He was a member of the Chicago mafia who had been sent to Dallas.

The CIA was working with various wings of the mafia including Sam Giancana’s outfit in Chicago, of which Ruby was a part.

Jack Ruby.

The Mafia has long been suspected of complicity in the JFK assassination, something underlined by the close relationship the CIA had with the mafia in the 1950’s and 1960’s. The CIA used the mafia in a number of attempts to assassinate Fidel Castro in Cuba.

Another of those involved was Carlos Marchello the mafia boss in New Orleans.

The HSCA determined that there was evidence of ‘credible associations relating both Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby to figures having a relationship, albeit tenuous, with Marcello’s crime family or organization’. The HSCA report stated: ‘The committee found that Marcello had the motive, means and opportunity to have President John F. Kennedy assassinated, though it was unable to establish direct evidence of Marcello’s complicity’.

Sam Giancana.

Sam Giancana’s bother Chuck, and nephew, Sam Giancana, published a book called ‘Double Cross’, in 1993, in which they revealed that Sam Giancana had boasted that the CIA had killed JFK with assistance from the mafia. He also revealed that the CIA and the mafia had entered into a partnership and carried out joint enterprizes overseas.

19. THE CIA MONITORED OSWALD’S POST.

The CIA claimed that it had no interest in Oswald for decades. This was a lie. In July 2023, declassified files showed that the CIA assigned a man called Reubon Efron to read his post.

Efron, originally from Lithuania, was a fluent Russian speaker. This surveillance indicates caution on the part of the CIA that Oswald might have been recruited by the Soviets during his years in Russia.

Angleton was obsessed to the point of near paranoia about moles and traitors.

In addition, Efron was able to monitor any post sent to Marina Oswald. Her uncle, Ilya Prusakov, with whom she had lived in Minsk, was a colonel in the Soviet Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Efron was also in a position to ascertain if any of Oswald’s correspondents were aware he was a CIA agent. After he was chosen to be the fall guy for the JFK hit, this sort of information became of paramount importance to the anti-JFK plotters who needed bury this fact.

20. THE MEXICAN MANOEUVRE, SEPTEMBER 1963.

The CIA chose Oswald to take the blame for the JFK assassination in the event it would take place in Dallas.

David Atlee Phillips was assigned to Mexico City in the fall of 1963.

Philips, a black propaganda and dirty tricks expert, arranged for a CIA operative to go to Mexico in the pretence he was Oswald in September 1963, having arrived on the 27th. The imposter visited the Russian and Cuban embassies.

The CIA eventually had to produce photographs of the man they claimed was Oswald, but he looked nothing like him.

According to embassy officials who dealt with the man presenting himself as ‘Oswald’, on the phone, and in person, his Russian was defective. Yet, the real Oswald spoke fluent Russian.

The Mexico Oswald imposter.

A recording of the imposter’s voice was captured by a CIA wiretap. FBI agents and Warren Commission lawyers who heard it agreed it was not Oswald. The recording then disappeared. The CIA later provided a date for its disappearance. They lied as the time they provided for its disappearance pre-dated the occasions on which the FBI listened to it.

21. CREATING A FEAR OF NUCLEAR WAR.

The CIA now had information they could later use to convince key figures in authority that Oswald had taken orders from the Soviets and Cubans to kill JFK (once they kept the photographs and telephone recordings of the Oswald imposter under wraps).

After the assassination, senior officials were told the Russians were behind the plot and that World War 3 might break out if news of the link to the Soviets became public knowledge. This enabled the CIA to keep anyone who saw through the attempt to frame Oswald as the lone sssassin, in line. They could be told there had been a conspiracy, but it was one involving the Soviets.

Nicholas Katzenbach.

On Monday, 25th November, 1963, a mere three days after the assassination, the Deputy Attorney-General of the US, Nicholas Katzenbach, issued a memo stating that it was imperative to shut down the JFK assassination investigation immediately, and convince the American people that Kennedy had been killed by one man, Lee Harvey Oswald.

Even a preliminary investigation into a presidential assassination would have taken months. Katzenbach feared the Soviets were responsible and wanted to avoid a nuclear war.

J. Edgar Hoover would ensure that his investigators pursued evidence that indicated Oswald was a lone assassin. All evidence to the contrary was to be buried.

22. JANE ROMAN, TOP AIDE TO JAMES JESUS ANGLETON, ADMITTED SHE TOLD LIES TO THE CIA MEXICO STATION ABOUT OSWALD.

Obviously, not everyone in the CIA was party to the anti-JFK plot. Those who were not, were told lies where their work overlapped with the actions of the conspirators.

Jane Roman, an aide to James Jesus Angleton, told her colleagues lies about Oswald.

Jefferson Morley.

Roman knew about Oswald’s activities in New Orleans, including the fact he had been arrested after a scuffle with anti-Castro activists. She sent a report to the FBI on 4th October describing Oswald’s activities. Four days later, the CIA staff in Mexico sent a telegram to CIA HQ, at Langley, about the visit to the embassies by a man calling himself Oswald, i.e., the imposter. It read: ‘AMERICAN MALE WHO SPOKE BROKEN RUSSIAN SAID HIS NAME LEE OSWALD.’ Roman responded in a cable dated 10th October pretending the CIA had lost sight of Oswald after he had defected to Russia.

Authors John Newman and Jefferson Morley spoke to Roman before her death in 2007. She was 78 at the time and perfectly lucid.

John Newman.

Roman eventually acknowledged her sleight of hand: ‘Yeah, I mean, I’m signing off on something that I know isn’t true.’

Newman asked if this suggested ‘some sort of operational interest in Oswald’s file?’

Roman replied: ‘Well, to me, it’s indicative of a keen interest in Oswald, held very closely on the need-to-know basis’. She speculated that there had been an ‘operational reason’ for the lie to the CIA in Mexico. She said she was not privy to whatever ‘hanky-panky’ may have been taken place. Obviously, her boss, Angleton, was not only aware but was the author of the machination.

Morley’s biography of Angleton.

Morley was astonished: ‘John and I looked at each other and said, “Oh my fucking God”‘ because they had extracted an acknowledgment that Angleton and other senior CIA officers had a highly secret covert operational interest in Oswald that they had hidden from their colleagues in Mexico.’

One person in Mexico knew full well what was afoot, David Atlee Philips. He and Angleton were setting Oswald up as a fall guy.

Four books by John Newman.

If Jane Roman did not know the type of ‘hanky-panky’ that was afoot prior to Kennedy’s murder, she must have realised it after the event. What she said to Morley and Newman was, at the very least, an acknowledgement that Angleton was part of the conspiracy against JFK. There is every possibility she was a plotter too.

23. RICHARD CASE NAGELL FEARED HE WAS BEING SET UP AS A PATSY FOR THE JFK HIT AND TOOK DRASTIC ACTION.

Richard Case Nagell, a former soldier who knew Oswald from Japan, and had some sort of a link to the CIA. He knew something about the plot to kill JFK in advance. Rather than get drawn into the abyss, he carried out a bank robbery on 20th September, 1963, to take him out of circulation. He walked into the State National Bank in El Paso, Texas, and fired two shots into the ceiling. Nagell then walked out of the bank after firing his weapon and sat down and waited for the police to arrive.

Richard Case Nagell

Author Dick Russell who investigated the case, discovered that Nagell feared that he was going to be used as a patsy. He was arrested and held in custody until after the JFK assassination.

24. THE MIAMI PLOT.

On 9th November, 1963, two weeks before JFK was murdered, Joseph Milteer, a right-wing extremist, spoke to a police informant called William Somerset, in a Miami hotel room. Somerset recorded the conversation covertly.

William Somerset.

Milteer was a friend of Guy Bannister and involved in a number of extreme right-wing groups. Milteer knew that JFK was a target of assassins. He said that the murder plot ‘was in the working’ and would be carried out ‘from an office building with a high-powered rifle’. The gun would be one that could be ‘disassembled’ to get it into the building and the police would ‘pick someone up within hours if anything like that happened just to throw the public off’.

Joseph Milteer on the left. In the middle and right, a picture of the man with a striking resemblance to him watching as JFK drives by him at close quarter seconds before he was killed.

Milteer stated that ‘the Cubans’ were involved in the plot to shoot Kennedy in Miami.

The secret tape recording was turned over to the FBI almost immediately. JFK was due to visit the city on 18th November. Extra security was arranged and the visit went off without an incident.

Milteer’s tape recorded remarks can be heard by clicking the link/graphic in the next paragraph:

A man bearing a remarkable resemblance to Milteer was photographed in Dealey Plaza on 22nd November, the day Kennedy was shot dead.

25. ROSE CHERAMI WARNED OF THE LOOOMING ASSASSINATON

Rose Cherami was a prostitute and drug mule in November 1963. Earlier, she had worked as a stripper at Jack Ruby’s Carousel Club in Dallas. She was 34.

Two days before the JFK murder she participated on a Florida-to-Texas heroin run for Ruby with two of Ruby’s henchmen.

Rose Cherami.

When the car she was travelling in reached rural Louisiana, a violent drunken argument broke out between her and the two men. It took place in public, outside a seedy brothel. The gang drove off but the row continued. The two men threw Cherami from the vehicle near Eunice.

She was taken to hospital where she told a Louisiana State Police officer, Lt. Francis Fruge, that she had been going to Dallas to pick up cash for eight kilos of heroin she’d been assigned to purchase in Houston. She proceeded to say that the two men were part of a plot to kill JFK. She repeated her prediction of a forthcoming assassination to her doctors and nurses.

Lt. Fruge told the HSCA that Cherami seemed ‘quite lucid’ during her conversations with him.

26. MADELINE BROWNE, MISTRESS OF LBJ

In the immediate run up to the assassination, Johnson told his mistress, Madeline Browne, that, shortly, the Kennedy brothers would never ’embarrass’ him again.

Madeline Browne.

On another occasion, she asked him, ‘Lyndon, you’ve got to tell me. You’ve got to talk to me. Are you – were you – involved with Kennedy’s death?’ Finally, he said, ‘You know the people that I known … the oil people and the CIA … They did it.’

The longer version of Browne’s account can be found here:

27. THE CORSCIAN CONNECTION.

A Corsican mafiosi called Christian David claimed he was approached by Marseilles Mafia boss, Antoine Guerini, to organise a shooting team to kill Kennedy.

Christian David (left) and Marseilles Mafia boss Antoine Guerin (right).

David claimed that after he turned it down, Lucien Sarti, another Corsican gangster, accepted the contract.

Lucien Sarti.

Howard Hunt has confirmed the involvement of the French mafia in the assassination.

In an interview with researcher Stephen Rivale, Christian David stated that Sarti’s team entered the US through Mexico.

28. KILL ZONE.

On 22nd November, 1963, Lyndon Johnson kicked up a fuss demanding that Jackie Kennedy ride in his limousine through Dallas. Johnson was fond of Jackie and did not want her killed or injured during the forthcoming attack on her husband. In the event, she travelled with JFK.

Johnson travelled a few cars behind the Kennedys’ vehicle. Photographs show him hunching down as the cavalcade enters the kill zone. He was a tall man, a lot taller than his wife. Yet, in all the pictures taken, he has sunk well below her level.

Next, JFK was shot by four or five marksmen in Dealey Plaza. The most devastating shot was pulled by an assassin behind the picket fence on the grassy knoll. Witnesses on both sides of the fence stated that shots were discharged from behind it.

The shocking 313rd frame of the Zapruder film reveals a shot from the front and right of Kennedy. It can only have come from behind the picket fence. It strikes his head and hurls JFK backwards and to the left. A shot from Oswald’s alleged ‘sniper’s nest’ in the Book Depository – which was now behind JFK – would have created the opposite momentum.

Mary Moorman took a polaroid picture at the exact moment Kennedy was struck in the front of his head. The picture can be seen above. The photograph has been blown up and enhanced (see below). Some researchers believe it is possible to discern the outline of a man shooting at Kennedy. He has become known as the ‘Badgeman’ as he appears to have a badge and looks like a Dallas police officer. A man in a hard hat stands next to him.

Various enhancements purportedly showing a man dressed as a Dallas police officer firing at JFK from behind the picket fence.

29. MEDICAL EVIDENCE.

The doctors who examined Kennedy in Dallas agreed that there was an exit wound at the back of his head. This was consistent with a shot from the grassy knoll. As the bullet flattened somewhat on impact, it blew part of the back of his skull out as it reached the rear interior of his head. The photograph below shows the doctors at Parkland Hospital pointing to the exit point.

The doctors were also of the view that a second shot – again from the front – had hit Kennedy in the throat.

All of this establishes that Oswald could not have been a lone gunman.

Kennedy is hit in the throat, from the front.

30. ACOUSTIC EVIDENCE OF MULTIPLE SHOTS.

A police motorcycle with an open radio link connected to the control desk at his HQ was in the cavalcade. It recorded multiple shots. This was the evidence that persuaded the HSCA, in 1979, that more than one gunman fired at Kennedy.

The acoustic graph indicates gun shots where the noise threshold exceeds the dotted lines. Many of these shots missed Kennedy entirely.

31. THE SECRET SERVICE IMPOSTER WHO HELPED THE HIT TEAM ESCAPE

In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, people ran towards the grassy knoll to catch sight of the men responsible for gun shots they had just heard.

For a moment, a man held the public back from the grassy knoll by producing a Secret Service identity card. These witnesses had heard shots from behind the fence. Some had seen and smelt gunshots. The Secret Service was the organisation responsible for protecting the life of the President. It was subsequently established that the man was an imposter. The service had not posted anyone at the location.

Lee Bowers, a railroad controller, witnessed men behind the fence from a rail control tower, before and after the shooting. After it, they placed items in the rear of a vehicle and left the car park behind the knoll. They were able to get away quickly without interruption with the aid of the Secret Service imposter.

Lee Bowers was in the tower circled in red. He saw men along his side of the fence. Their positions are marked with white Xs. Kennedy was struck at the point marked with the black circle.

32. THE DAMAGE TO JFK’S LIMOUSINE IS CONCEALED.

JFK’s car was taken away on the orders of Johnson. A photograph of a bullet hole in the window and a dent were destroyed. They were inconsistent with the official narrative of the lone gunman – Oswald – who fired only three shots. The shots that damaged the vehicle could not have been discharged by Oswald.

Overall, there is a substantial amount of evidence that more than three shots were discharged.

33. THE ‘MAGIC BULLET’.

The official narrative is that Oswald fired from the so-called ‘sniper’s nest’ in the Book Depository. While shots were undoubtedly discharged from that building, they were part of a triangulation of gunfire, possibly by two marksmen in the Depository, others in the Daltex building and another on the grassy embankmen or knoll. All told, there were at least three teams around the kill zone including Cubans and other mafia hitmen.

The Warren Commission had to engage in science fiction to produce an account implicating Oswald as a lone gunman. It included a fantastic and impossible trajectory taken by the so-called ‘magic bullet’. This projectile allegedly managed to go through Kennedy and one of the other passengers, Governor John Connolly, in a manner that defied science. Connolly was seated in front of JFK. The bullet allegedly executed a near 90 degree turn in mid air. Having gone through the two men, it exited intact without any blemish and was found on Connolly’s hospital stretcher at Parkland. Pieces of metal from this bullet lodged in Connolly’s body. How the bullet was able to regrow its casing has yet to be explained by science and, of course, never will be. The ‘magic bullet’ theory is a fantasy. There were multiple shooters in Dealey Plaza, not one man. A number of bullets fired by them caused the damage the Warren Commission attributed to the single ‘magic bullet’.

34. PAUL LANDIS.

In 2023, a new piece of evidence which demolished the ‘magic bullet’ fantasy once and for all, emerged. James Robenalt reported in Vanity Fair that new evidence had emerged which showed that the magic bullet had been found in the back of JFK’s vehicle. It had not reached Connolly at all, let alone having gone through his body. Paul Landis, one of Jackie Kennedy’s Secret Service bodyguards, had found it on the back seat. He placed it on JFK’s gurney, at Parkland hospital, to let the autopsy staff know what type of bullets they were dealing with.

In addition, Landis was clear that he left the bullet on JFK’s gurney. The official narrative had been that it was found on Connolly’s gurney.

Paul Landis (dark glasses) with the Kennedys.

Landis did not come forward earlier as he was advised it would be better to say nothing by one of his colleagues.

35. ROBERT KENNEDY SUSPECTED THE CIA KILLED HIS BROTHER FROM THE OUTSET.

On the afternoon of 22nd November, Robert Kennedy (RFK) summoned the director of the CIA, John McCone, to his home to ask ‘if they’ — the CIA — ‘had killed my brother,’ Kennedy revealed later. McCone said they had not.

RFK did not believe the rumours being circulated about Oswald being connected to the Soviets. He later sent a message to the Soviet embassy assuring them of his belief in their innocence.

RFK was Attorney-General but was out of circulation after the murder of his brother. Three days after the shooting, Nicholas Katzenbach, his deputy, issued the memo stipulating that the FBI was to conclude Oswald was the shooter.

RFK wasn’t the only person close to Kennedy who suspected a palace coup. On the return flight from Dallas to Washington, Kennedy’s secretary, Evelyn Lincoln, wrote down the people she suspected were behind the plot. Lyndon Johnson headed the list. A number of right wing organisations and Teamster, Jimmy Hoffa, featured underneath him, including the ‘CIA in Cuban fiasco’.

Lincoln’s suspicions about Johnson emmanated from the fact she knew Kennedy planned to ditch Johnson as vice president. She was aware Kennedy was considering Governor Terry Sanford of North Carolina as Johnson’s replacement.

Evelyn Lincoln and JFK

36. DAVID MORALES

E. Howard Hunt also named David Morales, Chief of Operations at the CIA’s JMWAVE station in Miami, as part of the kill team in Dallas.

Morales was a veteran CIA assassin.

Morales later told a number of his friends about his involvement in the slaying.

David Morales.

Many researchers believe Morales was on the 6th floor of the Book Depository during the shooting.

The Depository assassins escaped from the building before the police arrived

After the hit, Lucien Sarti’s team also escaped successfully. They laid low for two weeks and then left the US through Canada.

37. AFTER HIS ARREST, OSWALD TRIED TO CALL A MAN CALLED JOHN HURT.

Oswald was meant to have been shot dead after the assassination but realised what was happening and went on the run. He was arrested and tested for gun shot residue on his right cheek and palms. If he had taken shots with a rifle from the Book Depository, the test would have revealed residue on his cheek. Yet, none was found. In addition, he was able to provide evidence that he was in the building’s canteen, on a lower floor, at the time of the shooting, and identify who was there at the same time.

The gun shot test did reveal that he had residue on his hands which would be consistent with him having shot Dallas Police Officer Tippet. Members of Sam Giancana’s family say that Tippet was sent to kill him. If so, he discharged his gun in self-defence.

In prison the only call Oswald attempted to make was to John Hurt, in Raleigh, Nt Carolina. Hunt was an individual with intelligence links, probably Oswald’s connection to his CIA handlers who had now cast him to the wolves.

Hurt had served as a Special Agent of U.S. Army Counterintelligence during World War II. When contacted by Dr Grover B. Proctor in 1980, ‘Mr. Hurt acknowledged this wartime service to me, but denied ever having been anything other than an insurance investigator and an employee of the State of North Carolina since the war.’ For further details see:

Billie Greer and John David Hurt

38. RUBY KILLS OSWALD AND, LATER, REVEALS LYNDON JOHNSON WAS BEHIND THE JFK ASSASSINATION

Oswald was shot dead by Jack Ruby on 24th November, 1963, thereby saving the conspirators the turmoil of a trial at which Oswald might have established his innocence and convinced the public of a conspiracy.

Johnson became president and appointed Allen Dulles, the former CIA director, to investigate the murder alongside the Chief Justice, Earl Warren. The Warren Commission was deeply flawed. It reported that Oswald was a guilty lone gunman.

Congressman Albert Thomas winks at Johnson onboard Airforce One after Johnson was sworn in as president.

Jack Ruby later indicated Lyndon Johnson was behind JFK’s assassination. Ruby told TV reporters: ‘When I mentioned about Adlai Stevenson, if he was vice president, there never would have been an assassination of our beloved President Kennedy.’ A reporter asked him to explain what he meant and he replied: ‘Well, your answer is the man in office now [Lyndon Johnson].’

On another occasion Ruby told the media: ‘The world will never know the true facts of what occurred, my motives. The people who had so much to gain, and had such an ulterior motive to put me in the position I am in, will never let the true facts come above board for the world.’ A reporter asked him: ‘Are these people in very high positions, Jack?’ to which he replies ‘Yes!

39. JOHNSON WARNS OF NUCLEAR WAR AND 40,000,000 US DEATHS IF OSWALD IS NOT PORTRAYED BY THE CHIEF JUSTICE AS A LONE ASSASSIN.

Declassified National Archives of Oval Office recordings reveal that Lyndon Johnson told Sen. Richard B. Russell of Georgia, and later, Chief Justice Earl Warren, about unverified rumors that Soviet or Cuban officials, were behind JFK’s death, and might push the United States into a war that could ‘kill 40 million Americans in an hour’.

Johnson handpicked Russell and others to serve on the forthcoming presidential commission. He told Russell: ‘I can’t arrest you and I’m not going to put the FBI on you but you’re goddamned sure going to serve.’ Russel did.

Johnson and Russell.

Russell was a founder and leader of the conservative coalition that dominated Congress from 1937 to 1963, and later became the most senior member of the Senate. He was a racist and opponent of JFK. Russell led Southern opposition to the civil rights movement.

Warren didn’t want to serve either. The declassified records refer to Johnson’s account of how Warren ‘started crying’ when Johnson refused to let him off the hook in a face-to-face meeting in the Oval Office. Warren knew he was going to have to break his oath, tell lies, mislead the public and, ultimately, destroy his reputation. He relented and agreed to chair the inquiry.

Gerald Ford, who later served as vice president to Richard Nixon, also served on the committee. After Nixon resigned, Ford became president.

40. THE COMMISSION THAT IGNORED ALL THE EVIDENCE, 1964-65.

Allen Dulles was appointed by Johnson to control the activities of what now became the Warren Commission. Its task was to determine that Oswald was a lone nut who killed Kennedy.

Dr. Robert McClelland

Dr. Robert McClelland, who treated JFK at Parkland Hospital, stated Arlen Specter, a lawyer for the Commission, told him the Commission had received statements from witnesses on the triple overpass confirming the shots from the grassy knoll, i.e., to the front of JFK, but it did not wish to pursue that line.

Dr McClelland was one of those who knew JFK had been struck by a bullet from the front from his wounds. See:

Instead, Specter concoted the ‘magic bullet’ theory for the Commission and the panel ignored all the medical evidence to the contrary.

Arlen Specter

Another Parkland doctor, Ron Jones, revealed that Specter that told him: ‘We have people who would testify that they saw somebody shoot the President from the front, but we don’t want to interview them and I don’t want you saying anything about that either.’

Allen Dulles made sure the Commission was kept in the dark. Warren Commission counsel, and later judge, Burt Griffin said: ‘[We were] betrayed because the CIA and FBI deliberately misled us.’

The group determined in 1964 that Oswald had acted alone.

Warren hands Johnson a copy of his report. Allen Dulles, a member of the Commission, can be seen behind Johnson. Gerald Ford, another corrupt official and member of the panel can be seen on the left. He became US president in 1974.

41. THE RING ON OSWALD’S FINGER MOVES ABOUT IN SERIES OF FAKE PHOTOGRAPHS.

The footage in this tweet is worth a thousand words. The ‘backyard’ photos are not authentic. The Warren Commission, however, treated them as such. They were to portray Oswald as a gun nut.

41A. NIXON TRIES TO BLACKMAIL THE CIA, 1972.

During the Watergate scandal Richard Nixon tried to blackmail the CIA into taking the blame for the ‘Plumbers” break-in at the Democrats HQ, at the Watergate building. Nixon knew the CIA had killed Kennedy and that E. Howard Hunt, who was now working for him, could reveal the whole story.

Frank Sturgis, whom Hunt named in 2004 as part of the JFK plot, was one of the Watergate burglars caught during the Watergate break-in.

Hunt’s Watergate burglars: Bernard Barker, James McCord, Frank Sturgis, Virgilio Gonzalez and Eugenio Martinez.

Nixon had a recording facility in his Oval Office. He was recorded telling members of his inner circle on that:

Richard Helms and Richard Nixon.

Nixon instructed his chief of staff, H.R. Haldeman, to tell Helms to halt the FBI’s probe into the Watergate break-in by claiming it as a CIA operation. A tape recorder in his office captured Nixon’s words:

In his memoirs, Haldeman disclosed how, when he saw Helms and brought up the Bay of Pigs, the CIA chief gripped the arms of his chair, leaned forward and shouted: ‘The Bay of Pigs has nothing to do with this! I have no concern about the Bay of Pigs.’ Haldeman said he was ‘absolutely shocked by Helms’s violent reaction’.

H.R. Haldeman and John Ehrlichman

Clearly, Nixon was not referring to the CIA’s sponsorship of the Bay of Pigs invasion since the world knew about the agency’s complicity in it. For a start, JFK had sacked Dulles and Cabell after it.

Nixon was being more subtle.

Haldeman wrote:

H.R. Haldeman (seated), John Ehrlichman and Henry Kissinger (standing) listening to Richard Nixon.

John Ehrlichman, another Nixon staffer, attended the encounter. Helms, he revealed later, ‘yelled like a scalded cat’.

42. THE HSCA, DRE AND THE CIA, 1976-79.

If Hunt, Philips, Ruby, Roman et al, were telling the truth, there is no prospect that the JFK files will be released unless someone like Robert Kennedy Jr. becomes president.

It is likely the suppressed files relate to Oswald’s participation in an organisation called DRE while he was living in New Orleans. DRE was a CIA-controlled organisation controlled by George Joannides. Some files relating to it and Joannides have been declassified but far from all.

Joannides was the CIA officer who dealt with the HSCA as ‘Walter D. Newby’ in respect of the DRE. He lied to the HSCA on an industrial level. Joannides even told them that the identity of the DRE’s case officer in 1963 – Joannides himself – could not be determined.

George Joannides

When Jefferson Morley revealed this to Robert Blakey, the head of the HSCA, Blakey ‘went ballistic’. Blakey said: ‘They flat-out lied to me about who he was and what he was up to.’

Blakey released a written statement arguing that Joannides and his superiors were guilty of the obstruction of justice. ‘I no longer believe that we were able to conduct an appropriate investigation of the Agency and its relationship to Oswald.’

The DRE files will show that, far from being a ‘lone nut’, Oswald was a brave and accomplished CIA asset. If released, the documents will cause the six decade long JFK cover-up to crumble. America will then have to contend with the fact that its government has lied to it for 60 years and its media has been, at best, gullible and far less than useless.

43. THE CONFESSION OF E. HOWARD HUNT, 2004.

E. Howard Hunt provided a detailed account of the murder of Kennedy in 2004.

Hunt described the JFK plot as the ‘Big Event’. He was invited to participate in it at a meeting as a CIA safehouse in Miami in 1963.

He maintained he became a ‘bench warmer’ in the operation.

He named Lyndon Johnson, David Philips, Cord Meyer, David Morales and Antonio Veciana, as participants.

A note containing the chain of command for the murder of JFK, prepared by E Howard Hunt.

Another participant was Frank Sturgis, an anti-Castro paramilitary closely associated with Hunt. Sturgis was one of the Watergate burglars.

Frank Sturgis.

He also named Bill Harvey of the CIA as a key figure in the operation. Harvey ran the CIA’s assassination programme which was known as ‘ZR/RIFLE’. Harvey had links to the Corsican mafia whose assassins he used to murder CIA targets.

Bill Harvey of the CIA.

Harvey hated the Kennedys who exiled him to Europe after he sent sabotage teams into Cuba during the 1962 Missile Crisis against their orders.

Harvey was a friend of Johnny Roselli who worked for the CIA and the mafia, and is believed to have played a part in the JFK murder. In 1999, Harvey’s widow confirmed the friendship with Roselli.

Johnny Roselli.
Hunt confessed that he was in attendance at the assassination. His confession is supported by this picture of a figure that looks quite like him. See the picture in the centre with the figure circled in red. The photograph was taken minutes after the shooting.

Hunt focussed on the main players in the plot, not those lower down such as David Ferrie. We know, however, that Ferrie lied about his whereabouts on the day of Kennedy’s assassination. Jack Martin, one of Guy Bannister’s associates, revealed Ferrie acted as a pilot for some of those involved in the conspiracy.

David Ferrie.

Two other important conspirators were Allen Dulles and Charles Cabell, the director and deputy director of the CIA, both of whom were dismissed by Kennedy after the Bay of Pigs fiasco. In his book on Dulles, David Talbot argues convincingly that Dulles oversaw the operation. He spent the weekend of the hit at a CIA base even though he was no longer in the agency.

Charles Cabell was the brother of Earle Cabell. Earle was mayor of Dallas in 1963. He played a part diverting JFK’s cavalcade into Dealey Plaza – which was not a logical route for the vehicles to take – and made him easy prey for the riflemen waiting for him there. This detour forced the cars to take sharp turns and slow down.

44. OTHER CONSPIRATORS

There were many other people involved in the Kennedy assassination, including Major-General Edward Lansdale, seen in the photograph above with Allen Dulles.

There is evidence of the involvement of Cubans such as Herminio Diaz Garcia and others. Interested readers might care to purchase a copy of Anthony Summers’ book, ‘Not in Your Lifetime’.

45. THE RFK ASSASSINATION

Robert Kennedy Sr never accepted the finding of the Warren Commission. He went along with it for tactical purposes to buy time. He hoped to unravel the conspiracy by becoming president himself. However, he was shot dead in equally suspicious circumstances in 1968.

Sam Giancana’s family said Giancana boasted the CIA murdered him too.

Thaine Eugene Cesar

He was shot by Sirahan Sirhan who was a gambler who owed the mafia money as a result of horse betting. He pulled the trigger but was not a professional hit man.

There was a second gunman, Thaine Eugene Cesar, whose shooting role was covered up by the CIA, FBI and corrupt LA Police officers.

Sirhan Sirhan who has been in prison since 1968.

Sirhan Sirhan is still alive and in prison, still terrified to tell the truth about the mafia pressure that was brought to bear on him to shoot RFK.

Robert Kennedy Jnr has accused Cesar of complicity in the murder of his father.

46. TUCKER CARLSON AND THE CLASSIFIED CIA FILES.

Tucker Carlson was a broadcasting superstar on Fox News. He was even tipped as the political heir to Donald Trump, until he was sacked –  without an explanation – by Rupert Murdoch, the owner of News Corp, last April. What went wrong?

Many observers believe Murdoch jumped into bed with the CIA when he befriended Ted Shackley, a CIA highflyer, in the early 1970’s. Murdoch’s business partner, Peter Abeles, also became a CIA ally by establishing Australia’s Nugan Hand bank in 1973. It was used by the CIA for all sorts of nefarious purposes until a scandal in 1980.

By the early 1980’s, Murdoch was part of the furniture at the CIA. It was to him that William Casey, the Director of the CIA under Ronald Reagan, turned when he wanted to generate media support for CIA operations in Central America. Murdoch’s empire became a cheerleader the CIA’s Contra mercenary army in Nicaragua.

In 2011, Murdoch sent an emissary to General David Petraeus in Afghanistan to ask him to run for president with the promise he would bankroll his campaign. Petraeus refused but went on to become DCI.

Carlson’s relationship with the CIA has been less harmonious. Born in San Francisco in 1969, he was rejected by the CIA, when he applied to join it after his graduation.

Tucker Carlson.

Instead, he rose to become a champion for the Right on Fox News. Whereas Trump is uncouth and aggressive, Carlson came over as intelligent and articulate. Ideal material for a tilt at the White House in 2028 one might think?

The speculation about the reason for Carlson’s dismissal by Murdoch is less than impressive. Murdoch recently paid $787 million to Dominion Voting Services for defamation.  A January 2021 broadcast by Carlson was cited in the suit, but it was but one of twenty transmissions that defamed Dominion. The other broadcasters were not sacked.

Rupert Murdoch.

Carlson’s emails, in which criticised management, have also been mooted as an explanation. Can they really have upset Murdoch who sacks managers frequently? Then there is an allegation that Carlson contributed to a toxic atmosphere at Fox, something that sparked another legal suit. Murdoch is fighting it. Sacking a key witness is hardly conducive to its defence.

The real reason for the dismissal may relate to Tucker’s probe into the Kennedy assassination.

Millions of Americans watched his broadcast about the JFK assassination. It was highly critical of the CIA. An additional 10.4 million have viewed it on YouTube

Murdoch hardly wanted to promote Carlson as a Republican candidate – probably against JFK’s nephew, Robert Kennedy Jnr, for the Democrats – in the 2028 White House race while less troublesome contenders are available.

Tucker has now moved on the ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) platform where he has maintained his massive following.

The files Biden is protecting may, as indicated above, include the DRE files. The records of Oswald’s debriefing upon his return to the US after his false defection, may also feature. Another tranche may include details of his salary as a CIA agent.

47. THE RACE FOR THE WHITE HOUSE, 2024.

Lyndon Johnson, Robert Kennedy and JFK; on the right, Robert Kennedy Jr.

The JFK assassination may yet feature in the forthcoming US presidential election. It is not a fossil from history, rather a live issue of paramount importance.

Can Marguerite Oswald, Lee Harvey Oswald, E. Howard Hunt, David Atlee Philips, Jack Ruby, David Morales, Christian David, James and Elsie Wilcott, Ann Egeter, Rose Cherami, Marguerite Browne, Jane Roman and the Giancanas, all have all been telling a lie which, by coincidence, created a consistent story about the JFK assassination?

If they are not liars, it means the US is not a true democracy.

Surely the devastating damage occasioned to America’s democracy by the CIA’s murder of a president is something worthy of debate in the race for the White House.
